Do I need it?

Does it hurt?
We do our best to make every treatment as comfortable as possible. We use a specially formulated numbing cream along with cool packs and advanced techniques for minimal discomfort, and a virtually painless procedure. You can expect slight redness or swelling (like a bee sting) at the injection point in the following treatment, but this disappears. Like with an injectable treatment there is slight risk of temporary bruising, which can last three to four days.

Does it hurt?

Before Treatment
You need to schedule a face to face consultation to assess the best treatment for you individually. If you have recently had any other filler or toxin treatment in the same area, you may need to wait before having Profhilo®.
In order to reduce the risk of bruising, please avoid alcohol, and if safe for you to do so, avoid anti-inflammatories, aspirins, and food supplements that cause blood thinning, unless these have been prescribed by your doctor.
Lastly, do not wear make-up on the day of treatment.
After Treatment
With Profhilo, the recovery time is limited. When injected using the five-point technique on each side of the face, each insertion is immediately noticeable. However, they diffuse immediately and are gone by the next day.
After the treatment, it is recommended to avoid physical strain and sports for 24 hours. Please also avoid having further cosmetic procedures for 48 hours.
It is not recommended to have sauna or steam bath for the first few days either. It’s best to stay out of the sun if any bruising or prolonged swelling occurs.
